Frequently asked questions
How should I use the Retinol Firming Serum?
For best results, use this serum nightly. Apply after cleansing and before moisturizer. If you are new to retinol, start by applying it 2-3 times a week to allow your skin to adjust, then gradually increase frequency as tolerated.
We recommend using this serum only in the evening.
Retinol increases your skin's sensitivity to the sun. Always apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher the following morning to protect your results and your skin.
Why is this better than a standard retinol serum?
Most retinol serums force a trade-off between strength and comfort - the most effective ones often cause purging, redness, or peeling. Ours doesn't. We combine Retinol (Macamin™ RL), a potent form of Vitamin A that accelerates skin renewal and boosts collagen production, with Sytenol® A (Bakuchiol), a 99%+ pure botanical that delivers retinol-like benefits while acting as a soothing buffer. Together, they let you get the full collagen-boosting, wrinkle-smoothing results with significantly less irritation.
Can I use the Retinol Firming Serum if I have sensitive skin?
Yes! We engineered this formula specifically for reactive skin. Alongside Retinol (Macamin™ RL), we've blended in Sytenol® A (Bakuchiol) to buffer potential irritation, plus Chamomilla Recutita and Hyaluronic Acid to calm and reinforce your skin barrier while Squalane locks in moisture. The result is a treatment that visibly addresses signs of aging without compromising sensitive skin.
Will the Retinol Firming Serum dry out my skin?
Unlike traditional retinoids that can be drying, our serum is infused with Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane. These ingredients lock in moisture and "plump" the skin cells, ensuring your complexion stays hydrated and supple throughout the treatment.
How long until I see results with the Retinol Firming Serum?
While hydration and radiance are often visible within the first few applications, structural changes—like the 20% reduction in wrinkle depth—typically occur after 4 to 8 weeks of consistent nightly use.
Do I need to wear sunscreen when using retinol?
Retinol increases your skin's sensitivity to the sun. Always apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher the following morning to protect your results and your skin.
Is it safe to use the Retinol Firming Serum with other actives (Vitamin C, AHAs, etc.)?
To avoid over-stimulation, avoid using other strong acids (like Glycolic or Salicylic acid) in the same application. We recommend using your Vitamin C in the morning and the Retinol Firming Serum at night.
